Australian Championship Results

The Minnow Sailing  Assocation of Queensland fleet is based at Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club near Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. 

The 2006 National Championships were held at Lake Cootharaba from Jan8 - 13.   41 children from Queensland, Northern Territory and Victoria attended.  Congratulations goes to Stephen Collings sailing Phantom from Victoria who is now the Australian Minnow Champion for 2006.

The 2007 National Championships were held at Sorrento, Victoria from 8 - 13 Janauary.  Over 100 junior sailors competed with the winner being Lloyd Collings from Victoria.

The 2007 Darwin Nationals were held at Darwin Sailing Club in Fannie Bay, NT.  What a great location.  All entrants had a ball and once again Lloyd Collings was Champion.  The best result for a Queenslander was Mclean Smith in Minnow Muncher sailing into 2nd Place Junior followed close behind in 5th Place Junior was Louise Evans.  Our Novice fleet did a fantastic job as well. 

The 2008 National Championships are being held in Rockingham, Western Australia in January 2008.  Good luck to all competitors.
